Racing was initially postponed due to heavy winds. Race committee completed several weather checks throughout the morning to assess conditions: wind (W and NW) was initially 18-20kt consistent with gusts to 35kt. As gusts settled to less than 25kt, the call was made around 12:15pm to race and racing began around 1:00pm. Sailors completed 8 races (4 races in each division) just SE of the harbor under beautiful sunny, partly cloudy skies. Thank you to our PRO Wes Madara, host venue Wilmette Harbor Club, all attending sailors and coaches. Congratulations to this year's State Champions: Latin School of Chicago in 1st overall, Evanston Township in 2nd, and Saint Ignatius College Prep in 3rd.
