A good day on the Thames River for the final High School Championship of the year. Much thanks to the Connecticut College Camels for opening their awesome facilities. PRO Roger Rawling, assisted by Roy Williams, Prescott Littlefield, Chris Crane, and Will Hurd did a great job of getting off 11B division Races in 420s and 10A division races in JV as the breeze shifted from SW to West and went up and down in rain showers. Tomorrow the divisions will switch fleets.
Another day of westerly breezes made the RC work hard to get in all 20 races/Div. The day started with 11A in FJs, followed by 12B in the FJs, as the divisions switched fleets after 11 races. The scores at the top were tight with Antilles, Point Loma, and Ransom Everglades climbing over each other to take the lead at various points. In the end, it was Point Loma’s consistency that sealed the deal. The Judges heard one protest, resulting in an DSQ and one request to reopen a hearing, resulting in reinstatement.
The 2026 Mallory is slated for the SEISA district.
