(ABANDONED) 2026 FCSL Match Racing Championship

The 2026 FCSL Match Racing Championship began with a short storm delay. That would prove to be foreshadowing, as a more significant squall ended up rolling in after the 2nd race was abandoned - the regatta was called off with only one race completed as a result.

No champion this year, but props to GFA for earning the only win of the day!

A couple of things worth noting:

Note 1 = This regatta took place in Ideal 18s, not Radials. Unfortunately the TechScore system lacks a Match Racing format and, while one can set up a regatta like this as a team race to preserve the Win/Loss format in which results are presented, it turns out TechScore will interpret an Ideal 18 Team Race regatta with RPs for only one boat on each team entered as an irreconcilable "Missing RP" scenario. Thus, a singlehanded boat has been selected in the system to enable this page to accurately list the specific sailors that did participate in the event without subjecting coaches to eternal Missing RP emails from TechScore.

Note 2 = Fairfield Ludlowe High School, Greenwich High School, and a 2nd team from Darien High School also attempted to participate in this event. However, they had to be removed from this page given they did not complete any races and thus had no sailors entered into RP forms. The TechScore system was also interpreting this as a Missing RP scenario.

Note 3 = Despite the lack of regatta completion, this event page has been finalized to ensure it may serve as a relatively detailed record of the attempt at running this event in 2026.
