For our first regatta of the season, VISA was graced with perfect blue skies and air temps reaching 70 degrees, despite seas remaining quite cold at 39 degrees F. Unfortunately, sailors arrived to no wind and were postponed on shore until it filled in around 10:30 AM. SW winds built to 10mph with gusts slightly higher by the end of the no start after time of 1:00PM.
Eleven teams representing eight schools completed 5 W-4 races. Christchurch School Team 1 captured first place with 40 points by consistently keeping finishes in the top 5 despite having no bullets. Norfolk Academy Team 1 took second with 4 bullets and 57 points. Maury followed closely in third with 63 points.
