Fourteen teams were represented Saturday January 10th at the Lake Mayer open in Savannah Georgia, hosted by the Savannah Sailing Center. We welcomed two new teams to the ISSA SAISA family, both participating for their first time. Warm welcome to Atlanta International School and Canebay High School from Summerville SC. Twelve boats raced in very shifty NNW breezes of 7 - 12 kts, with the wind eventually clocked around to an ENE direction. Air temperature was very chilly starting at about 35 degrees and only warming into the low 50's. Nine races were completed in the series. Only one protest was heard.
Congratulation to the very competitive Wando and Beaufort High teams that fought it out until the last races. Wando won the regatta with 32 points, followed by Beaufort High with 35 points.
