MISSA Icebreaker

Summary

Saturday, March 25:

NE Wind decreasing steadily throughout the day. Sailed short races due to the urban confines of Belmont Harbor. RC did an excellent job at cranking them out and keeping the rotations moving. Pin boat very effective in calling between 2 and 20 boats over throughout the day.

One protest was filed and heard by Judge Ray Groble Sr. resulting in New Trier being DSQ.

Sunday, March 26:

Very foggy, light day with marginal sailing conditions. Again in Belmont harbor with SE breeze 3-5 knots and windward marks within 3 boats lengths of U dock and north docks. Corner impossible to bang due to this urban constraint, though good for HS sailing, should implement obstruction on every starboard and port layline (half-kidding).

Thanks to RC and all competitors and coaches for coming to the Icebreaker.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
