22 Varsity and 13 Junior Varsity Teams hit the water at 10:15 this morning to open the SAISA South Points season. At the beginning of the day there were 7.5 knots of breeze from the Northeast defying early predictions. 4 races in each division, Varsity and Junior Varsity, were completed with a short squall killing the breeze in the B division 4th race. Racing was postponed for the sea breeze to fill in, but as it did thunderstorms began to pop up in the vicinity. PRO J A Booker called the racing at 1700 hours and the teams were able to de-rig in time. Thanks to Regatta Chair John Lackey, Judges Henry Moore and Skip Ryan and all the race committee and onshore volunteers.
