North Points #1 started out on Saturday morning October 10th with a Medway river that looked like glass. Racing was initially postponed on shore. Between 9:30 and 10:30 a light southerly filled in and the postponement was lifted. Racing began in 5-7mph winds that were light and shifty. During the course of the day sailors experienced two big wind shifts, one of about 90 degrees and one at 180 degrees causing two races to be abandoned and restarted. Mid day brought rain, very hard at times and a few rumbles of thunder causing sailors to be sent back towards shore. In these challenging conditions the race committee managed to get 4 races completed in each division before the wind died to below 3mph at about 4:40pm.
Congratulations to Pine Lake Prep who won the event and to Glynn Academy and Wando who finished in Second and Third respectively.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
