Thirteen NJISA high schools, making up a full fleet of eighteen teams, arrived at TRYC for another regatta in the week long run of NE breeze. Conditions were very sailable with an 5-10mph NE breeze, complete with that direction's typical puffs and oscillations. The sun actually can out for the last rotation, providing a long overdue view of the setting sun as racing finishing up for the evening.
Three races were completed in each division with W4 and W3 courses in each set. For the sake of completing races before the wind died and the sun set, B Division sailed two W4 races, completed a rotation on the water and then sailed a W3 course for their last race. A Division sailed a W4 and W3 in their first set, then returned to end the day with a final W3.
Competition was close again this week, with the teams reading the shifts and working their way up the "correct" side of the course making out the best. The Ranney Panthers held onto a four point lead for the win over the second place CBA Colts. The Southern Regional Rams rounded out the top three this week with the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs close behind them in fourth.
