NJISA Wednesday Series 2016-2

Summary

Wednesday, September 21:

Toms River, NJ - Eighteen NJISA sailing teams, from thirteen different high schools, sailed in the league’s second Wednesday afternoon fleet race of the season. It was a beautiful “last day of summer” afternoon with warm temps and sunny skies, along with a nice 8-10 mph NNE breeze.

Six races were completed for the afternoon. A Division sailed two W4 races one W3 race (race A4 was abandoned after the first beat due to the dying breeze and to provide opportunity to get B Division out for one more race) and B Division sailed one W4 and two W3’s. The sailors headed back to shore around 6:15 as the breeze tapered off to almost nothing with the sun dropping towards the horizon.

Dave Magno adjusted the course and with TR East’s Mrs. Cathy Applegate recorded upwind finishes for W3 races. Thanks again to TRYC and OCC for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
