The Sail Now Homework Later regatta, hosted by Hawken School, was held at the Cleveland Foundry's station which is at the mouth of the Cuyaghoga River downtown Cleveland. Races are held behind the breakwall, with this new community sailing center which offers stadium-sailing views. The 17 teams brought 75 sailors from the Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, and Chautauqua, NY areas. The 7th to 12th graders patiently waited for the wind to pick up in hot and hazy, bluebird sky conditions, so that we could eventually pull off 3 races in both divisions in continued very light wind throughout the day. Candy prizes were given to the top-5 teams in each division, with awards made by Hawken sailors for the top 3 overall teams. Raffle prizes, for which ticket sales go directly to the Foundry's scholastic sailing program, were items generously donated by Ullman Sails Cleveland, Quantum Sails Cleveland, Sailing Inc of Cleveland, and Zim Sailing. Congratulations to all!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
