Thomas Worthington Invite

Saturday, September 9:

A beautiful in Central Ohio as 15 teams from 11 schools joined us for the kick off regatta for Fall 17 and the first leg of the Ohio Cup. PRO Doug Squires and team kept the sailors on their toes efficiently getting 16 races in the books before the 4pm drop time. When the spray settled, St Ignatius won convincingly, followed by 2 Olentangy teams (Liberty in 2nd, Orange in 3rd). This regatta was really cool in the fact that over 1/2 of the sailors in attendance were sailing in their first HS Regatta, showing how much the Ohio region is growing!

1 protest was filed and disallowed, no breakdowns and no issues on the water!

Many thanks to all that helped, especially our kitchen crew led by Kristen Jones (WSHS), shore crew led by Craig Howell (WSHS), all of the safety boats and our overall chair Jamie Jones (WSHS).

We hope to see all of you in October at the next Columbus regatta.

Sunday, September 10:

No Sailing Sunday as regatta was completed Saturday.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
