MASSA Cressy Qualifier Full Rig

Summary

Saturday, September 15:

The morning started out sunny and warm with very little wind, well glassy conditions. As the morning went out the wind slowly built out of the northeast and the boats were launched. Once everyone made it to the lake we still had to wait a bit for it to settle in across the the course. Finally the wind filled to around 5 kts and the PRO was able to get two races started. The third race of the day started but wind started to drop off and switch directions along with boat traffic and waves. They finished the third race and called it a day. It sure was a warm day in Rochester!

Sunday, September 16:

Sunday saw an early report time with hopes to get started early and get some racing in but that did not play out as the wind did not show up until closer to 10:30. All the boats launched and headed to the lake close to 9:45am with the a nice northerly filling in. The fleet of 32 lasers were sent further off shore out of the fighting northerly and southerly where the PRO had and crew had set a nice course and racing was off. The wind filled and shifted a little at the start but the race crew was quick to move the last upwind leg to make it a great last upwind to the finish. After the first race the wind did shift again and the course was moved. The wind stayed steady around 6-8 kts and the race management team were able to start two more races for a total of 6 over the weekend. The sailors were in and packed up with awards held at 2:30 and most if not all were on the road heading home by 3pm. It was a great weekend with wonderful racing and great weather. (wishing we had more wind for the sailors but glad to get 6 races in for all!)

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
