Three schools sailed 12 boats in the Rock the New Year Regatta. The temperature was in the low 60s; the wind was south at 11 knots. The cloud cover was low with a chance of rain in the forecast. Translation: It wasn't hot at all, the wind was perfect, and 6 of the 7 races were without rain! The goal was to have a fun regatta with some good race courses. We used the Harry Anderson course for 2 races, the Modified Harry Anderson course for 2 races, the Butterfly course for 2 races, and Open Bic Open Cross course for the last race. Boats did not rotate and sailors were free to substitute as they desired. Racing commenced shortly after 1300 and wrapped up at about 1615. After returning to the dock and packing up boats, all sailors, coaches, and parents drove about a mile to St. Stanislaus for a celebration of a great day with music, a firepit, s'mores, hotdogs on the grill, hot chocolate, chips, and just some good friendship. We awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies to the top 3 boats in each school. All in all, a great day of sailing.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
