For the annual Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools Regatta, 7 area schools presented with 3 single division teams each. Skies were clear with temperatures in the low 50's. The Lafayette River was flat, yielding light winds at 4-8 mph, with gusts to 10 mph, clocking from W to NW. Six races were completed on a W-4 course.
The regatta finished with Norfolk Collegiate Team 1 in first place, Norfolk Collegiate Team 2 in second place, and Norfolk Academy Team 2 in third place.
For the TCIS Championship standings, scores from all three presenting teams are added together for each school's total points. With a low point finish of 54 points, Norfolk Collegiate captured first place. They were followed by Norfolk Academy with 95 points in second, and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy in third place with 229 points.
One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ.
