Bring on the breeze. The Foundry 2 Fall regatta was well attended. 32 boats, 18 Varsity Teams and 14 JV teams took to the water. This is the biggest regatta to date for the Foundry. Teams from Michigan and Ohio in attended. Racing started in 8-10 knots out of the Southwest building throughout the day to 17 - 22 knots out of the west/northwest. Lots of sun and temps in the upper 80s made a perfect day for spectating. Cranbrook took 1st overall with Westerville North 2nd and Bay Village 3rd.
The high winds proved to be a little challenging for our JV teams who only sailed 3 or 4 races due to safety concerns and breakdowns.
