Saturday dawned with a very light breeze that filled in from the south to 8 kts. and partly cloudy skies. During the day the wind steadily built to 17 kts. with oscillating shifts of 5-10 degrees. The wind then dropped abruptly at 1551 the wind began dropping. Racing was concluded for the day when the breeze fell to 3 kt. A total of 11 races were run Saturday.
Sunday racing began on schedule at 1000 with an 14 kt. southerly with no shifts, and partly cloudy skies. During the day the wind steadily built to 17 kts by the 5th race of the day. The final two races were run to even out the rotation in wind 20 - 24 kts and gusting higher. The more experienced crews raced, and had a wet, wild, and exciting time. With winds continuing to build, the RC called it a regatta. There were 16 total races run over two days of sailing, with every wind condition challenging the fleet.
