We arrived at PYC after extreme rain from the night before. The rain stopped but the wind increased. We had intense gusts and sudden shifts at 20-25 knots or more.
After an attempt for our Halloween regatta on a separate course, we abandoned racing with the attempt to bring the Last Chance regatta closer to shore. After one race in A, all sailors where call back to land. Lunch was provided, and after a delay, the B division went back out for two races. The rotation was continued and a total of five races in each division was completed.
Congratulations to Black River for an outstanding finish in first, Novi in 2nd, West Bloomfield in 3rd, and Traverse City Central in 4th. Cranbrook, Traverse City West, Brother Rice, Troy, placed 5-8.
