Eight Laser Standard sailors from across the Michigan battled it out Lake Macatawa today for the 2019 Singlehanded State Championship. After a short delay on shore, the breeze eventually settled in from the North between 5-10 but big oscillations and changes in velocity made it challenging for the RC team and the sailors! Nonetheless, a total of six races were completed before the 3pm cut-off time. No protest filed. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the regatta a success and congrats to Black River's Chris Heideman on taking home the win!
