Fall Championships were hosted on Dyes Inlet at the Port of Silverdale. Visiting teams were treated to a beautiful fall weekend, with plenty of sun and views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympics. After a brief postponement, racing began in a 3 knot southerly which lingered and teased us for most of the afternoon. Conditions proved borderline at times, which resulted in additional postponements and abandonments. Despite the fragility of the breeze, and the fact that it was contrary to the forecasted northerly, the direction remained remarkable steady. We ended the day barely completing Race 4A in Gold Fleet. Race 4A in Silver fleet was ultimately abandoned.
Sunday looked to be more of the same. Sailors were on the water in t-shirts and sunglasses, but there was very little wind. After brief postponement, Race Committee attempted Race 3B Gold and 4A Silver in a 3 knot southerly that was very similar to Saturday's wind. These two races were both abandoned as the wind died. Another on shore postponement followed. The forecasted northerly finally filled in after noon. The rotation resumed and we completed the best race of the weekend in an oscillating 4 knot northerly. Gold B was able to get in two races, but by the time Silver B got on the water there was barely enough wind for them to get around the course. Silver 4A and Gold 5A were both completed before conditions deteriorated to unsailable. An on the water postponement followed, and after nearly an hour Race Committee attempted Silver 4B and Gold 5B with minutes to go before the time limit. The light northerly again faded and all races were abandoned to conclude the regatta. Silver 4A and Gold 5A were both dropped as a result of being unable to level up at the end of Sunday.
Big thanks to all of the Central Kitsap volunteers and parents. Race Committee worked hard to make the most out of a very tough weekend. They all earned their free lunch.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
