Seattle Fleet Race

Summary

Saturday, September 28:

10 Seattle teams and 2 visiting teams made up the fleet for the first ever Seattle high school regional regatta, a fleet race in Sail Sand Point's 12 CFJs. After a 1000 competitors meeting, 'A' fleet headed out on the water in a light NE breeze. AP was up for about 30 minutes after the 1030 posted start time before the first band of solid pressure allowed for the start and completion of race 1A.

Racing continued throughout the day in up and down northerly breeze ranging from 6-12mph with some mighty shifts coming through with the bands of pressure, alternating between left and right. Lake sailing at it's finest.

Big thanks to Bob and Nino for running races and to the coaches on shore for keeping the rotations snappy. Congrats to Ingraham 1 for the win and the near perfect regatta!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
