The regatta got off to a good start on Saturday with 4 races scheduled, with conditions ranging from 12-15 knots gusting to 18 & 1-3 ft seas.
The SEISA Single-handed Championships, held in conjunction with the Laser GCCs was held on Sept. 14-15 @ PCYC in Pass Christian, MS. We had around 20 sailors registered for both events in Laser Radial. For the SEISA High School Champs/Cressy Qualifier, there were seven Radials. Sailing occurred in the Mississippi Sound about one mile south of Pass Christian Yacht Club. Seven races were scheduled for the event with a course set at 0.6 NM.
The wind conditions on Saturday and Sunday ranged from 12-15 knots gusting to 18. Both days provided 1-3 ft seas. Things got interesting in Race 5 when Emma McInnis (Rockport Fulton) received an OCS and Michael Burns (SSC) broke his lower mast. Michael received a DNC in race 6 while replacing his broken mast.
Laser Radial top three finishers were Michael Burns (St. Stanislaus), Emma McInnis (Rockport Fulton), and Nilah Miller (St. Andrews Episcopal). Michael Burns (SSC) and Caleb Keister (Jesuit) will represent SEISA at the Cressy Nationals.
Thank you to Pass Christian Yacht Club for hosting and to all the volunteers who worked all weekend to make this a great event!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
