On Sunday, September 27th 11 teams from 6 schools raced on Lake St.Clair in the Grosse Pointe South hosted Fall Cobweb Regatta. It was a beautiful, breezy Fall day. Oscillating winds SW-SSW, 10-15 with gusts to 20 in the morning, and lightening as the day went on, a steady 10 knots with gusts to 15. Initial race course was set at 10:00 a.m. and moved after the first A rotation to accommodate boat traffic out of the harbor. A total of 16 races, 8 in each division, were completed with no issues, and only 3 minor adjustments to the windward mark and pin to accomodate for shifting winds. Congratulations to regatta winners, First place - Novi, Second place - Grosse Pointe South Blue, and Third Place - Grosse Pointe South Gold. Thank you to the RC, parent volunteers and coaches for your support both on and off the water.
