No Sailing... Gusts to 40 knots and rain all day...
We were able to get 3 Races off in a blustery Northerly that provided ample challenges for both A and B Division. The RC tucked the course around the corner from CofC's J Stewart Walker Sailing Center and set up in the lee of Patriot's Point. Throughout the course of the day the breeze, which had simmered to below 20 knots for the sail out to the course, built to over 25 knots. The chop also built and durning the third B Division race the decision was made to call it.
Given the forecast for the weekend we were happy to have gotten this regatta off. Big congrats to Immaculate La Salle who repeats as Champs of this very competetive event. We appreciate the great work of PRO Mark Deguire who was accompanied by scorer Amy Jones on the RC boat and assisted by CofC Sailing Team members. Thanks also to Dustin Domer who was the ISSA Rep and helped us make some tough calls throughout the weekend.
We look forward to having another great event in 2022 and appreciate all the teams that made the trip this year!
