What a fantastic evening for some High School Sailing! Leatherlips hosted their first ever Friday Night Lights event with tons of fans cheering from the sunny banks of the Scioto River, 13 teams duking it out on the water from both Central Ohio programs, all under the watchful eyes of Don Shregardus PRO extraordinaire! 6 races in 4-8 knots of breeze were completed before sunset. When the spray settled, Olentangy finished first, followed closely by Gahanna, Dublin Coffman, New Albany and the girls team from Olentangy Orange.
Many thanks to the multitudes of people from Leatherlips YC helping out, not only on the water but with an awesome dinner on shore afterwards. Thanks to Bob France for pulling it all together and to our friends at Hoover for bringing 4 boats with them so everyone could get on the water!
