Heavy seas and gusts to 30 knots forced RC to host the racing in the cove off the docks of Captain's Cove Seaport. The wind held steady at 16 knots out of the SW with gust hitting 30 occasionally. The regatta had a hard stop at 1pm due to the 7' tidal range. No capsizes and excellent sailing by all competitors made for a spectacular day. Exhausted sailors were treated to pizza and ice cream when they hit shore. A successful Great Oaks Regatta 2021 was enjoyed by all.
