Racing began at 0930 with winds from the NE at 5-8 knots, shifting in the afternoon to SE at 5. 28 teams competed in two divisions determined in the qualifying round held Saturday. 14 teams competed for top honors in Gold fleet and 14 teams competed in Silver. The day ended after 8 completed races.
