MDISA Fleet Qualifier @SSA

Summary

Saturday, October 9:

We had a great start to the MDISA qualifier where the top 4 teams move on to MASSA Gold at Rochester Yacht Club and the following 4 teams were guaranteed a spot at the MASSA Silver Regatta at Buffalo Yacht Club. The day started out with a nice 12-15 knot breeze from the North East with puffs up to 18 knots. The Sailors had to manage a lot of different shifts and lanes but the Race Committee did a great job keeping the course square for the sailors. We had Steve Podlich as our PRO, Bill Carty on a mark boat and Rick Welch on our windward mark boat/Safety boat. We were able to get 14 total races off by our 4pm end time, leaving only 8 total races for Sunday.

Sunday, October 10:

Sunday Started out with a little less breeze than Saturday, but from the North East again. We had it slowly shift more North as the day went on but really settled in from a North North East angle. It was blowing about 10-14 knots all day. We were able to get all 8 races in by 1:45pm with Severn School winning the regatta, followed by Spalding, Broadneck, and St. Mary's securing the 4 MASSA Gold spots! The next 4 teams that have qualified for the MASSA Silver event are; Leonardtown, Towson, Key and Great Mills. Great job everyone and thank you to the Race Committee for putting together a really great event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
