Eleven NJISA schools, making up 15 teams, took the water on a 75-degree September Sunday for the Fall Classic Regatta. The sailors had to contend with a shifty north breeze throughout the 12-race series with major oscillations from the northwest to the northeast. The marks were regularly being moved with the shifts, leading to completing just six races in each division.
Christian Brothers Academy weathered the changing conditions the best, winning the day by nine points over second place Southern Regional. Toms River North, Ranney and Biotech rounded out the top five. Toms River North was the winner in A Division, while CBA was first in B Division.
Thank you to Brian Hull and Donovan sailors for manning the RC boat and Jason Lutz for chasing the breeze around as the mark boat. As always, thanks to TRYC and the BBYRA for the facility and FJ fleet.
