The Toms River Autumn Challenge welcomed 15 teams from 12 schools on a cool, cloudy October day. While temperatures warmed as the day progressed, the wind did just the opposite, slowly dying during the midday hours. Ultimately, only six total races were completed, three W4s and three W3, to make this an "official" regatta.
Christian Brothers Academy won the shortened day by 10 points over runner-up Southern Regional. Point Pleasant Beach earned the tiebreaker over Toms River North for third place. CBA won the A Division with five points, while Point Beach won the B Division with six points.
Thanks to Dave Magno for serving as PRO, Jody Lutz for running the mark boat, and Will Zylinski for helping on the RC boat. Our thanks to TRYC and the BBYRA for use of the facilities and the FJ fleet.
