The SAISA South Season began with Southpoints 1 regatta, hosted by the Lauderdale Yacht Club out of Virginia Key Historic Park. The racing area, just to the North-East of the Bear Cut Bridge provided an ideal venue with relatively flat water, 12-19kts of wind, and plenty of current! Six races were sailed in each division with 31 C420s on the start line (17 Varsity, 14 JV). W4 and W3 courses were sailed under the watchful eye of PRO Tom Lihan, with John Dixon and crew calling the Pin and Karl Hill and crew manning the finish boat. Thank you to regatta chair Terry Hamilton, safety boat operators Mike Redmond and Rob Diemar, scorers Lynn Dixon and Wendy Mertz, shore support John Monahan and Mateo Coates, and all the volunteers, coaches and parents that made this regatta a success! Congratulations to Immaculata La Salle on a decisive victory.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
