VISA York/Grafton Fleet Regatta

Summary

Saturday, September 18:

Sailors gathered at Norfolk Yacht club for today's regatta. There were 20 teams from 14 schools. The weather was warm and in the low 80s with sunny skies. The first race began at 931 with winds blowing N/NE at 5 knots. There were a total of 12 races with 6 races in each division. The wind was not consistent and combined with the current, today provided challenges to the sailors, but they persisted and were able to complete a full day of sailing.

Top three performers overall were: Norfolk Collegiate Oaks 1 in first place, Kecoughtan Warriors in second place, and Christchurch Seahorses 2 in third place.

Top three division A performers were Kecoughtan Warriors in first place, Norfolk Collegiate Oaks 1 in second place, and Christchurch School Seahorses 2 in third place.

Top three division B performers were Norfolk Collegiate Oaks 1 Christchurch Seahorses 1 in second place and Christchurch Seahorses 2 in third place.

We want to thank the committee and all the volunteers that came out today.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
