Ten teams arrived at the Sail Martha’s Vineyard boathouse on September 17, 2022, to compete for the second bid to ACC’s this fall. To be honest, if we had the ability to hit the lagoon at 630, we would’ve had a nice 12-15 knot northeasterly with lots of fetch, but let’s get real. It was however, a picture perfect fall day on MV and we managed to get the first A & B divisions complete before the northeasterly petered out. Patience was required for the remainder of the day as it briefly oscillated north, then back to the east, but never really continued backing south. Race committee made due with many course changes and locations and was able to complete one more set in each division.
Minus the wind issues, teams on the beach seemed to have a blast and the racing was competitive with no protests. In the end St. Georges reigned supreme, winning their second Arnold Brown and earning the second berth to ACC’s. Not far behind was Barrington and MV with 30 points each, but Barrington won the tie breaker to place second.
Thank you to everyone for making the trip and we look forward to hosting again next fall.
Best, A. Burr

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
