The first day of Cascadia Cup 2022 was sailed in five to ten knots of breeze from the North under sunny skies. Unfortunately, heavy smoke blanketed our region and forced an early end to racing after one full rotation of A and B divisions. College and high school sailors sailed two races per division before heading home early to take shelter from the worsening air quality.
Sunday brought markedly better air quality and less wind. A promising morning Northerly dissipated into an East/Northeast breeze by late morning which challenged race committee and mark setters with frequent wind shifts. After some postponement and one drawn-out and eventually abandoned race for each fleet, the wind died completely and the decision was made to end the regatta. With the scores from Saturday's races in the books, Roosevelt High School's open team took first, followed by Gig Harbor in second. Roosevelt's women's team finished in third.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
