Thirteen boats from 10 schools participated in the opening Tier 1 regatta of the MD fall 2022 sailing season on a beautiful warm sunny day. The first signal was at 935 on a day where the inconsistent winds not only oscillated up to 30 degrees but also varied in intensity all day. Overall, winds gradually increased from 4-6 kts to 6-8 kts as they shifted from the NE to the SE over the course of the day. In addition to the shifty wind, the crews had to deal with a strong current from the rising tide most of the day. Lack of accessible shoreline from extremely high tides made crew swaps challenging, but each division completed 7 races and the regatta concluded around 1600.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
