On Oct 29 2022 fourteen teams competed at the the Pat S Parker Halloween Regatta, hosted by The Cleveland Foundry at the Historic Coast Guard Station in Cleveland, OH. Sailors arrived wearing a variety of fun Halloween costumes, including hot dogs, pilots, and more. The day started off with 3 to 5 knot winds from the South for the first two races of A division, and then the wind died to zero during the rotation for the B division. After a short postponement on the water, the wind changed direction to the Northeast and built to 4 to 6 knots of breeze. With the new direction and velocity, we were able to get 6 more races in before the cutoff time, for a total of 8 races for the regatta. Congrats to Rocky River High School for placing 1st, followed by Bay High School in 2nd place and Olentangy Berlin High School in 3rd.
