Today was a solid day of Fall racing with winds 10-15mph building to 15-20mph as the day progressed. Racing started on time at 10am and concluded at 4:30pm. 6 races were completed in each C420 Division and 6 races completed in the ILCA 6 division. A few capsizes in the B division and ILCA's made for a fun day! A huge thank you to our PRO A.J. Schweda and RC volunteers: Nicole Williams, Jim Dunlop, Phil Zalog, Vincent Lambert, Stephen Kiss, Chris Utz, Bob Beres, and Kris O'Dell. Also thank you to the lunch crew: Betty Cavanaugh, Maile Beres, Kathy Kiss, Desiree Stapleton. A big thank you to Nicole Boemer for scoring and onsite management.
Unfortunately racing was cancelled today at 10am due to steady 20+ mph winds with gusts over 25mph and forecasted to continue building throughout the day. Deemed as unsafe sailing conditions, sailors stayed for trophies and hit the road early. Congratulations to 1st place overall team: Arrowhead Mixed Sophie Niemann, Elizabeth Allen, Tilly Niemann, and Ava Kiss, also each winning A Division and B Division. 2nd place awarded to Arrowhead Varsity John Lieber, Mark Sellers, Max Sellers, Nick Berkowitz, and Elijah Schleifer. White Bear High School took 3rd place overall: Robbie Dresen, Joshua Drivdahl, Jack Colosi, and Kaitlyn Anderson. Thank you!
