Great sailing today with highly variable wind. Throughout the day we saw wind speeds from 4 to 12 knots, starting with a northerly, shifting to an easterly, and halfway through the last race of the day, a 120 degree left shift to north northwest. Still, we completed the 1st round robin of five races with very close competition including two lead changes where 1st and last place were separated by a mere 7 points.
Expecting little to no wind based on grim forecasts, we headed out to the race course anyway. Surprisingly, there was enough wind to race. After a quick 1st race (6th of the regatta), we started a 2nd race right before thick fog rolled in. We abandoned that race for safety half-way through the race, even though there was plenty of wind. After a short postponement, we resumed racing and completed a 2nd round robin, concluding the 10-race regatta. Competition was even tighter today with two more lead changes and a final separation between 1st and last of only 12 points after 10 races. Congratulations Bainbridge on squeaking out a 1-point win over Olympia to claim the NWISA Keelboat Championship and a berth to ISSA Keelboat Nationals!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
