Norcal 7 Gold

Summary

Saturday, February 7:

The 2014-15 high school sailing season continued with the NorCal League #7 regatta at the Half Moon Bay Yacht Club on Saturday, February 7th, 2015. Fifty-nine Northern California high school teams (29 Gold Fleet & 30 Silver Fleet) were treated to a great day of racing in 7-12 knots of breeze in Half Moon Bay's Pillar Point Harbor. The Gold and Silver fleets completed eight and seven races, respectively, as sailors enthusiastically navigated through intermittent downpours and a gathering marine layer that added a spectral beauty to the afternoon racing.

HMBYC was also slated to host NorCal #8 on Sunday, but race officials wisely cancelled the event in the face of a severe weather forecast that did, indeed, come to fruition on Sunday, including thunder showers and wind gusts over 40 mph.

Many thanks to the outstanding HMBYC volunteer crew who made NorcCal #7 an excellent event, both on and off the water!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
