2016 PCISA Silver PCC's

Summary

Saturday, April 16:

Saturday, April 16: Twenty-five PCISA teams arrived at EYC on Saturday morning to compete for the 2016 Silver Championships. After a one-hour postponement, light and variable southerly breezes gave way to the predicted westerly which built from 8 knots in the early afternoon, to a steady 15-2 knot gusts later in the day. A division completed six races and B division 4. We will start Sunday with race 5B.

Sunday, April 17:

Sunday, April 17: Sunday started with another one-hour postponement and hit the course for a 11:35 first warning. Racing resumed as a nice westerly worked down the estuary, and each division completed two more sets in shifty, 5 to 8 knot breezes before the racing ended by the 4 PM time limit. A total of 8 races were completed in each division for the regatta. Following the completion of protest hearings, the competitors gathered for an award ceremony and more great food from the EYC volunteers. Congratulations to the Newport Harbor High School team, who sailed consistently well in all conditions.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
