Baker Midwest Qualifier

Wow what a weekend! Day 1: We say 40 knots to 4 knots. The RC, Umps and Coaches kept a tight group around and when the wind finally broke at 2 we were able to get in 3 flights of groups A and B - 18 Races. Racing started in 22kts, and ended in 4 when Kurt Thomsen pulled the plug for the day.

Wow what a weekend! Day 1: We say 40 knots to 4 knots. The RC, Umps and Coaches kept a tight group around and when the wind finally broke at 2 we were able to get in 3 flights of groups A and B - 18 Races. Racing started in 22kts, and ended in 4 when Kurt Thomsen pulled the plug for the day.

Day 2: light. variable. Teams agreed to sail early to get more races in. The wind settled quickly at 5-10 kts and racing began. A mid day lull and then more races. Gold fleet finished the day at 4:45pm.

Congratulations to Lake Forest High School and Minnetonka High School for qualifying for the Baker Trophy. And to Grosse Point South and St. Ignatius for qualifying for the NIT.
