After a hot breakfast, with Gale force winds predicted to start late morning on Saturday, and most sailors planning to stay until Sunday, the regatta was postponed until Sunday. Saturday morning was a great training time with winds starting about 12 kts and building to just above 20kts before the day was called. Short course racing, sailing in waves, and surfing downwind were all part of Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon was filled with exploring Oriental and the Oriental Boat Show.
Sunday's racing had great conditions, although a little cold. 4 teams sailing a combined fleet brought 8 boats to the start. Winds were NW starting about 12 and slowed to 3-5kts, with 30 degree shifts, making courses hard to maintain. 1ft seas dropping to flat before sailing stopped. 5 races were sailed between 9:30 and 11:30 with on the water rotations.
Each boat was equipped with RaceQs. Follow the links to review the races. (note: phones on two boats were not charged properly, so only 6 boats show.) Go to Raceqs.com for tutorials on how to watch and analyze races and better use them for training.
Summary for raceqs. Due to major wind shifts and moving of marks, all marks are not always in the correct position. Race 5 especially - as the gate was removed an only one mark was placed and the pin is not located correctly. We will try and adjust this.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
