NESSA Team Racing Tournament (Terk Trophy)

Beautiful day on the Charles River with a westerly that held out for the entire day. Some excellent sailing and spectating for everyone in attendance. The race committee and umpires did a fantastic job getting the double round robin in and complete by 5pm. After 112 races, Portsmouth Abbey, Moses Brown, Greenwich HS and BC High rounded out the top 4 and moved onto Sunday's Final 4. Thanks to everyone who made Saturday a success.

The clouds rolled in but the sailors were met with a perfecet seabreeze at 8-12 knots. The breeze was coming straight down from the Longfellow bridge which toned down the shifts and setup the day for some exceptional team racing....with many of the races being won in the last 20 feet of the course. The race committee and umpires(6 umpire boats on Sunday) did a fantastic job getting the double round robin in and complete by 1pm. The final 4 had some close finishes, but in the end the Portsmouth Abbey could not be stopped and they took home the top spot with Greenwich right on their heels in second.
