On Saturday March 19, 2016 15 Varsity teams from 12 schools met on the Lafayette River at Norfolk Yacht and Country Club for the Norfolk Academy Fleet Race Regatta. Sailors competed in very blustery NE winds starting in the teens and moving into the low 20's, with gusts pushing 30mph. Seas built as the winds came up. Seven W-4/W-3 races in each of A and B divisions were completed before the races were called due to increasing wind at about 2:00. Christchurch School captured first place, followed by Norfolk Collegiate School in second, and Norfolk Academy in third place.
