The first VISA regatta for the spring 2016 season, the VISA Poquoson Fleet Race Regatta, was held at Christchurch School on the Rappahannock River, in Christchurch, VA. Ten schools competed on the W-4 course with light easterly winds up to 8 mph with a few higher puffs, completing 4 races in each of A and B divisions. A third set was attempted, but abandoned due to lack of wind. Christchurch School captured first place followed by Nansemond Suffolk Academy and Norfolk Collegiate School.
