Racing began at 11:20 am in gusty SE winds of 14-18 knots. By mid afternoon the breeze had shifted nearly 45 degrees and eased to less than 5 knots, before finally settling into a steady SE afternoon breeze of 8-10 knots which stuck around to finish racing. Afterwards, teams were treated to a spaghetti dinner at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club, and a live band which had sailors, coaches and volunteers dancing until after 9:00 pm.
Sailors gathered at the Oak Harbor Yacht Club for a pancake breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:00 am. Racing was underway by 10:05 am in SE winds averaging 10-12 knots nearly all day with some unusual lanes of higher breeze for the venue. Racing continued until 3:00 pm under sunny skies, until a total of 10 races were sailed in each A and B division.
