The SAISA Brunswick Open Regatta, hosted by the Golden Isles Community Sailing Center, was held in the East Brunswick River at Brunswick Landing Marina in Brunswick, GA. Twelve teams competed. Weather was overcast, and winds were light. Sailing was postponed for the first hour waiting for wind, which finally materialized at 3 knots out of the southwest, eventually building to 4-5 knots. Late in the afternoon, a line of thunderstorms passed by to the north and south of us, briefly increasing the wind to about 8 knots out of the south, but then the wind became agonizingly light again, and racing was stopped with a total of eight races completed in each division. One protest was heard, resulting in a DSQ. Congratulations to James Island Charter High, taking first place in both divisions and overall! Many thanks to Brunswick Landing Marina, the volunteers from the Golden Isles Sailing Club, and all the sailing team members, parents, and coaches who made the regatta possible.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
