NJISA Wed (Tues) Fleet 1

Summary

Tuesday, March 21:

Due to the poor forecast for Wednesday, the race day was moved to Tuesday as Mother Nature finally cooperated and offered up some seasonably warm temperatures in the mid 50°'s and a nice 8-10 mph westerly breeze for the teams to sail.

Nine NJISA high schools, making up twelve sailing teams sailed four races in each division. No protests were filed, but three teams were penalized for not wearing pinnies and non-USCG approved PFD's which significantly effected the scores and rankings.

The Ranney Panthers placed first in A Division with two of the CBA teams following in second and third. The Toms River South Indians teams placed first and third in B Division with the Donovan Catholic Griffins in between them in second.

The Christian Brothers Colts ended up at the top of the fleet for the afternoon with a total of A & B Division scores of 38 points. The Donovan Catholic Griffins finished in second with 44 points and the Rumson-Fair Haven Bulldogs rounded out the top three with their 46 points.

Thank you to newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Goetting for running the races and patrolling the fleet, and as always, many thanks to Toms River Yacht Club and Ocean County College for the use of their facilities and fleet of boats. The NJISA TRYC Wednesday series will resume next week on Wednesday as scheduled...weather permitting!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
