Very light wind made for a long day of racing in Belmont Harbor. Thank you to all of the volunteers who spent the day moving marks.
What started out as a slow morning turned into a beautiful day of racing for the competitors. 8-12 knots of breeze allowed for the full 66 race round robin to be completed. Following that, a second round robin of the top 6 teams was completed right at the cutoff time of 4 pm. Huge thank you to the Chicago Yacht Club Race Committee volunteers who ran a fantastic race course for the sailors, including PRO Janet Baxter and Chief of Shore Operations "Big Wave" Dave Gerber. Thank you to all the teams who attended and congratulations to the New Trier Trevians for winning the event.
Another congratulations to the top 5 finishers who qualify to attend the MISSA Baker Qualifier at Pontiac YC. As follows: New Trier HS, Hinsdale Central HS, Latin School, Walter Payton College Prep and St. Ignatius College Prep.
