The purpose of this regatta is to give our younger sailors an opportunity that they frequently don’t otherwise have. They represent their schools and compete against peers from other schools.
Feeling like the first day of summer, with temperatures in the 70s, the regatta was sailed in tricky variable winds. The combination of northwest winds and “lakey” conditions created new challenges for the sailors for each race. Puffs were up to 12 MPH and shifts went 20 degrees to each side. A few lulls were down to 2 MPH.
4 teams went back and forth vying for the lead, but only St. Johns Prep had the consistency to avoid a dreaded double digit finish. Sharon finished second, Dover-Sherborn third and Concord Academy fourth.
Special thanks to Lisa Downey for serving as PRO, but running the regatta was a group effort where all of the coaches also helped in regatta management in one way or another

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
